Oscar Sudi’s Message to Gachagua After Impeachment by MPs
Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has advised Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to take responsibility for his actions following his impeachment in the National Assembly.
In a statement on his X account on Wednesday, October 9, Sudi cautioned the DP against making his political woes a community affair.
The close ally of President William Ruto reiterated that the impeachment of Gachagua was not an indictment on the Mt Kenya region but on Gachagua himself.
He added that politics would derail the government’s development agenda, hence the need to take personal responsibility.
“The Mountain hasn’t been touched, it’s an individual who is paying for his misdeeds. When found guilty, own your actions and carry your burden, not the community,” Sudi opined.

“Too much politicking derails the government’s development agenda. Good riddance!”
Gachagua was impeached by the National Assembly after 281 MPs voted in favor of the motion against him.
The DP has been accused of gross misconduct, undermining government policies, and propagating tribalism through shareholding talks among others.
Notably, the DP has denied the allegations terming the impeachment as a political witchhunt over his stand for various misdeeds of the current administration.
Following the impeachment, he even shared cryptic Bible verses thanking God for his political woes.
“From them will come songs of thanksgiving and the sound of rejoicing. I will add to their numbers, and they will not be decreased; I will bring them honor, and they will not be disdained,” he quoted Jeremiah 30:19.
