    NPSC Shortlists Candidates for Deputy Inspector General Positions in Kenya Police and Administration Police Services(List)

    NPSC Shortlists Candidates for Deputy Inspector General Positions in Kenya Police and Administration Police Services(List)

    The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has announced the shortlisted candidates for the roles of Deputy Inspector General for both the Kenya Police Service (DIG-KPS) and the Administration Police Service (DIG-APS).

    NPSC CEO Peter Leley revealed that the contenders for the DIG-KPS position are George Adero Sedah, Eliud Kipkoech Lagat, Tom Mboya Odero, and Dr. Vincent Kinas Makokha.

    Simultaneously, the Commission has shortlisted Gilbert Masengeli, Margaret Nyambura Karanja, James Mukuha Kamau, and Dr. Masoud Mwinyi for the DIG-APS role.

    The interviews for these candidates are scheduled for Monday, July 22, 2024, starting at 9:30 am.

    Those vying for the DIG-KPS role will be interviewed first, with the session running until 12:15 pm.

    Candidates for the DIG-APS position will be interviewed from 2:00 pm to 4:15 pm. These interviews will take place at the Kenya School of Government, Lowe Kabete Campus in Nairobi.

    A total of 38 individuals responded to the Commissionโ€™s advertisement for the Deputy Inspector General position.

    Out of these, 21 applied for the DIG-KPS role, while 13 applied for the DIG-APS position.

    Several applicants did not specify the positions they were applying for. These individuals include Paul Omondi Okinyi, Brian Wekesa Wanyonyi, Abdirashid Bilali, and Nicholas Mwiti.

    The public is encouraged to submit any information they have regarding the candidates, either in writing to the Commissionโ€™s chairperson or online, by Monday next week.
