New Twist as Brian Mwenda Claims He Works for US Global Law Firms

Brian Mwenda stated on Tuesday that he works for international law firms, including a U.S. firm.

Mwenda stated during an interview on Radio Jambo that he is a legal consultant for five international law firms.

Mwenda indicated that, apart from the United States, one of the law firms is based in Europe, while the other three are based in Africa, namely Tanzania, Ghana, and Nigeria.

However, he did not reveal the precise names of the law firms for which he consulted.

As a consultant, he stated that his duties included court appearances and legal-related tasks for clients.

“I am a legal consultant. I have three African law firms that I am consulting for. There is another one in Europe and another in the US,” he stated.

“I have just been helping people to the best of my abilities by the Constitution. As a legal consultant, you go to court, consult, and confer legal accruity but there is a limit to it.

When questioned about his academic credentials, he stated that he would address the issue once the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has concluded its investigation and the court has rendered a decision.

He maintained, however, that he would enter politics in the future and run for an elective office in the 2027 General Election.

He added that he received support from legislators, such as the former governor of Nairobi and other government officials.

Mwenda is currently charged with identity theft and document forgery.

He pled not guilty before Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina of Nairobi and was released on a Ksh200,000 cash bond.

The hearing will take place on November 7.
