My Son & Brother in Law Abducted at Gunpoint – Cleophas Malala

Former UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala claimed on Tuesday that some of his family members were abducted by unidentified individuals.

Malala revealed in a brief statement that his son and 19-year-old brother-in-law were kidnapped at gunpoint on Monday night.

The ex-Kakamega Senator stated that the abductors tortured them for around six hours to force them to disclose his location.

Malala further shared that after the assailants failed to locate him, they abandoned the two victims along Thika Road.

โ€œThey were tortured for six hours to reveal either my whereabouts or my wifeโ€™s and to lead them to my residence in Kitengela,โ€ Malala alleged.

He added, โ€œWhen they couldnโ€™t find me or my wife, they dumped the two along Thika Road. Iโ€™ve since rescued them, though they remain deeply shaken and traumatized.โ€

These allegations surfaced just two days after Malala accused two ODM members of involvement in a scheme to initiate Deputy President Rigathi Gachaguaโ€™s impeachment.

Speaking at a Thika church service, Malala claimed that Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Homa Bay MP Peter Kaluma were leading efforts to file an impeachment motion against Gachagua.

Malala cautioned President Ruto that any betrayal of his deputy could ultimately lead to his downfall.

โ€œIโ€™ve received information that the MPs pushing to table the motion are Junet Mohamed and Peter Kaluma. Mr. President, these MPs will start with Gachagua, and by 2027, theyโ€™ll come for you,โ€ Malala warned.

His statements were backed by Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, who alleged that impeachment plans were already in motion and cautioned about the potential impact on Rutoโ€™s administration.

โ€œThere are certain individuals who wake up daily planning how to stop Rigathi Gachagua from succeeding,โ€ Wamuchomba asserted.

She added, โ€œThese are the same people working with ODM leaders to present a motion for Gachaguaโ€™s impeachment next week.โ€
