Mwalimu Rachel Quits NRG Lands New Job at The Radio Africa Group
Mwalimu Rachel, the renowned radio presenter, announced the end of the road with the popular radio station NRG on Tuesday, March 26.
In a statement posted on her various social media platforms, she informed her followers that she was quitting the job, promising her followers to announce the new job soon.
“Indeed I have resigned from NRG radio. It has been an incredible journey of six years and I’m grateful for the time there,” she stated.
“I am eagerly anticipating the next chapter in my career, I look forward to announcing my new place of work and embarking on this exciting journey.”
Following Mwalimu’s announcement, Homeboys Radio, owned by Radio Africa, congratulated and welcomed her to the media house.

“Celebrated media personality Mwalimu Rachel joins Radio Africa Group! Welcome home,” they stated in a post on their X platform, accompanied by images of her signing the contract.
It is yet to be established which station she will be joining in the Radio Africa company. Some of the stations include Kiss FM, Classic 100, East FM, and the Star Newspaper.
The Group’s Chief Operating Officer Martin Khafafa welcomed the media personality, promising to work together to take the company to the next level.
Mwalimu joined the entertainment industry 11 years ago, when she joined Homeboyz radio as an intern.
She later landed another role at the Ghetto radio, hosting the late-night shows. She also doubles up as an MCee and talent manager for artists.
