Murang’a Tragedy: Catholic Priest Found Dead After Night with Girlfriend
A Catholic priest who was in charge of St. Peter’s Ruai passed away at a hotel in Murang’a after spending the night having fun with his girlfriend there.
After his lover rushed him to the hospital early on the morning of July 8, the priest, who has subsequently been identified as Joseph Kariuki Wanjiku, 43 years old, was pronounced dead at the hospital. He passed away shortly after.
According to a report filed by the authorities, the couple checked into the Monalisa Hotel Delview in Gatanga on Friday evening. However, he began experiencing symptoms of illness the day before yesterday.
“Then, this morning (Saturday) at approximately 8:00, the priest’s girlfriend told the hotel management that the lover was feeling dizzy and was starting to lose consciousness so that they could rush him to the hospital.

After that, they took him to the Kenol hospital, where he was pronounced dead as soon as he arrived, according to a portion of the police report. It was determined that the Catholic priest had passed away while he was still in the vehicle that had been utilized to transport him to the hospital.
The officers who responded to the call discovered the deceased in the back seat of the vehicle, partially covered with the bedsheet from the motel, with white foam coming out of the mouth and nose.
According to the police report, “the body moved to mater hospital mortuary Nairobi under the escort of police officer pending autopsy and further police action,”
According to what Taifa Leo said, the investigators have confiscated the foods and drinks that the couple enjoyed during their romantic evening so that they can conduct additional testing.
