MP Robert Mbui: Kalonzo Will Oust Ruto In 2027
Kathiani Member of Parliament (MP) Robert Mbui has conveyed his belief that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will emerge victorious and replace the current President, William Ruto, in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Dr. Ruto from the Kenya Kwanza party aims to secure his position for a final term. MP Mbui, a supporter of Mr. Kalonzo, has asserted that the former Vice President is the sole candidate capable of ensuring the current president serves only one term.
As per the legislator, currently in his third term in parliament, Kalonzo is a leader with a strong devotion to God, and he can be relied upon to guarantee that Kenyan citizens enjoy an environmentally sustainable life.
“Those in the office should now start packing. In 2027, we pray to God to speed up the days so that this guy (referring to President William Ruto) comes down from the tree,” Mr Mbui said on Monday, January 29, 2024, addressing his constituents in Kathiani.
In the upcoming elections, the forthright lawmaker has allied with the opposition, and the nation aims to choose a President who is devout and willing to attentively address the concerns of the Kenyan people.
Critically criticizing the Kenyan Kwanza Government, Mbui humorously asserted that upon Dr. Ruto assuming leadership, there was an expectation he would bring relief to the nation.

“The ones who are there (referring to the current leadership), we thought we were together, but we later heard they are Shakahola people. They were praying in Shakahola forest,” he alleged amidst laughter.
He added, “We want someone who respects everyone. We do not want someone who even lectures children and hurls insults in public rallies”.
Mr. Kalonzo, who held the position of vice president in the administration of the late President Mwai Kibaki, currently serves as a co-principal in the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
Mr. Raila Odinga, representing the ODM party, serves as the primary leader of the opposition coalition.
In both 2013 and 2017, Kalonzo served as Mr. Odinga’s running mate as they sought to secure the highest office in the nation.
Nevertheless, the pair faced defeat in both elections against the recently retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, who served two terms, during which Dr. Ruto served as his deputy.
