MP Faces Death Threats as Impeachment Looms for Agriculture CS Linturi
Bumula MP Jack Wamboka asserts that he fears for his life after submitting a notice of motion to impeach Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi due to the ongoing fertilizer scandal in the country.
The vocal member of parliament mentioned that he has faced life-threatening situations and called on National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula to quickly approve the motion.
“The CS must be impeached to restore sanity in the ministry and fast-track farmers compensation. The impeachment will cushion farmers from unscrupulous fertilizer business deals,” he said.
MP Wamboka, supported by signatures from 110 legislators, stated that the fertilizer scandal isn’t the first incident of its kind in the Ministry of Agriculture. He noted that these scandals have diminished farmers’ trust and consequently hindered the government’s efforts to ensure food security.

“The motion is rooted in grave allegations of gross misconduct, violation of constitutional provisions, and serious breach of public trust.
