Moses Kuria Highlights Key Achievements from His Tenure as Cabinet Secretary: “Record Speaks for Itself”

Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria took to social media to list his achievements during his tenure in President William Ruto’s Cabinet.

What achievements did Kuria make?

Kuria had the opportunity to serve as the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service after being moved from his position as CS for Investments, Trade, and Industry.

Kuria boasted about his achievements, commenting that he is leaving as a proud man after his contributions to the country.

“The record speaks for itself. With lots of satisfaction, I go home with my head high proud of my contribution to my motherland,” Kuria said.

According to his post, Kuria highlighted the following as his achievements during his 20 months as Cabinet Secretary:

  • Initiated the creation of County Aggregation and Industrial Parks in all 47 counties.
  • Advocated for budgetary allocations for new Export Processing Zones in Kiambu, Murang’a, Busia, and Uasin Gishu.
  • Initiated lease allocations to major investors to develop Special Economic Zones in Dongo Kundu and Naivasha.
  • Initiated bilateral trade agreements with the USA, European Union(EU), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
  • Led investment promotion missions to Gulf Cooperation Council member states, the USA, Indonesia, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
  • Visited 12 African heads of state as Ruto’s special envoy on Africa trade integration.
  • Established the Exports and Investments Promotion Levy to reduce unnecessary movements.
  • Established a National Investment Council, chaired by the president, to address challenges faced by investors.
  • Initiated the re-engineering and commercialization of the National Youth Service.
  • Initiated the expansion of Huduma Kenya to cover all 290 constituencies.
  • Initiated the transformation of the Kenya School of Government into the African School of Government.
