“Mnashangaa Nini”: David Ndii Shares Cryptic Message after ODM Leaders Land Slots in Ruto’s Cabinet

President William Ruto’s economic advisor, David Ndii, has reacted to the list of the newly named Cabinet nominees.

Who ODM leader did Ruto nominate to Cabinet

On Wednesday, July 24, Ruto made a surprise political move by nominating four senior ODM leaders to crucial Cabinet dockets.

Move Ruto to incorporate ODM leaders into his Cabinet angered Kenyans, who heavily criticized former PriceMinister Raila Odinga.

A majority accused the Azimio la Umoja OnenKenya Coalition Party leader of betraying the Gen Z movement’s course.

However, Ndii shared a cryptic message, indirectly hitting out at the former prime minister’s political move.

In his message, Ndii said there was nothing strange or new about the latest political development involving the veteran opposition leaders.

Historic perspective of Raila Odinga’s handshakes

In his message, Ndii shared photos of the ODM leader shaking hands with former presidents, including the late President Daniel Moi.

He also shared a photo of the famous handshake between Raila and the late Mwai Kibaki after the highly disputed 2007 presidential election.

The handshake between Kibaki and Raila gave birth to a coalition government where Raila was named the prime minister.

He further shared the picture of the handshake between the ODM leader and ex-president Uhuru Kenyatta outside Harambee House.

“Mnashaangaa nini,” Ndii said.

Which ODM leaders were nominated by Ruto

As reported earlier, the president named four senior ODM party leaders to his Cabinet.

Ruto nominated Ali Hassan Joho to be the Cabinet secretary for the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs.

Nominated ODM MP John Mbadi was named the Cabinet secretary for The National Treasury and Economic Planning.

National Assembly Minority Leader James Opiyo Wandayi is the new Cabinet secretary for the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.

The Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development docket went to former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya.
