Missing Treasury Official: Tom Osinde’s Disappearance Raises Concerns

Former National Treasury official Tom Osinde exhibited no signs of distress before being reported missing on June 18.

Before embarking on his journey from Nakuru to Kisii. Osinde sent his farmhand to meet an unidentified woman, according to his farmhand who spoke with the media.

The farmhand asserted that Osinde gave him money along with explicit instructions to complete the task.

However, he did not reveal the telephone number of the woman he was to meet.

“He sent me to a location without informing me of the woman’s identity. The woman was to identify me based on my attire.

“Before I left, he had spoken on the phone with the lady. As instructed, I went to the gas station, where the attendant positively identified me and stated that he had delivered the cash.

A second farmhand disclosed that they were questioned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nakuru regarding the enigmatic disappearance of the former Treasury official.

“After recording statements in Nakuru, DCI officials interrogated us. They requested specific information that would aid in locating him. We only disclosed what we were aware of,” the servant revealed.

They also spoke with him on the fateful day before he left for Kisii, according to his relatives. They did not, however, reveal the specifics of the conversation.
