The disturbing case of Daniel Muthiani, widely recognized as Sniper, the Meru Blogger found dead, has taken a grim turn following the results of a postmortem examination.
Government pathologist Johansen Oduor examined Marimanti Level 4 Hospital Mortuary in Tharaka Nithi, Meru County, uncovering crucial details surrounding Sniper’s demise.
The autopsy revealed the chilling cause of death: Sniper succumbed to strangulation, as evidenced by telltale marks on his neck. Disturbingly, signs indicating a lack of oxygen were evident, painting a harrowing picture of his final moments.
Additionally, Sniper had suffered fractured ribs and head injuries, indicating a violent struggle before being disposed of in a river.

DNA samples were necessary for identification due to the advanced state of decomposition his body had undergone. Notably, the absence of defense injuries raises alarming questions about whether Sniper was incapacitated and unable to protect himself during the heinous attack.
The pathologist ensured that Sniper’s body remained intact while confirming the absence of defensive wounds.
Expressing satisfaction with the postmortem procedures, Sniper’s family urged law enforcement agencies to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators, pleading for justice in the wake of this horrific incident.
Sniper’s disappearance on December 2 culminated in the grim discovery of his body on December 16, 2023, leaving a community in shock and anguish over the loss of a prominent figure in such tragic circumstances.
