Meet US Prophetess Who Sold Her Property, Left 30-Year Marriage After Falling in Love in Kakamega
Ruth Boyce and Peter Nyangai crossed paths in 2014 when she traveled from the United States to Africa for missionary work. While in Kenya, they encountered each other but had to go their separate ways soon after.
Boyce persisted in her ministry, disseminating the gospel throughout the United States. However, she remained in contemplation, uncertain about her divine purpose, especially after the conclusion of their mission in Kenya.
“I fumbled around in America for a long time, wondering where I could go and what I should do. When I prayed, I could see the map of Africa but I couldn’t just parachute here,” Boyce commented.
During this instant, she dedicated time to prayer and sought guidance from other clergy members.
In April 2017, following a conversation with her pastor, she received a Facebook message from Peter Nangai. Trusting that it was a direction from God, she decided to give the Kakamega native an opportunity.
Even though she was a married woman and had been a prophetess for more than three decades in her marriage, she firmly believed that these were messages from a higher power and was determined not to go against God’s guidance.
“It was very very difficult for me because I left my grandchildren, my family, my husband, everything I had behind,” Boyce narrated.

She had no choice but to liquidate her assets in America, gather funds for the ticket, transfer the entire amount to Peter ahead of their meeting, and set aside some savings to kickstart her journey.
“I wasn’t worried, because God came to me and told me you need to sell everything that you have,” lamented Boyce.
When Nyangai reached Nairobi, he had organized a complete team from his church to welcome Boyce at the airport. This touching gesture immediately created a sense of comfort and belonging for her.
Having eagerly anticipated this occasion, Nyangai abstained from indulging to accumulate enough funds to organize an impressive performance.
Impressed by his commitment, Boyce purchased his initial meal right at the airport, observing Nyangai finish everything on his plate.
Afterward, they departed for his countryside residence in Kakamega, where she entered into matrimony with Nyangai, and the couple has been cohabiting ever since.
“God showed me where to go and who to connect with, and that is why am here now and it has been six years now” Boyce commented.
