An online video depicting a motorist bleeding heavily from the head following an incident where a traffic officer struck him with handcuffs has generated varied responses from viewers.
The distressed driver caught the eye of onlookers, compelling them to pause and witness the unfolding drama.
In recounting the event, he asserted that traffic officers apprehended him, forcibly took him to a police station, and alleged that he had stolen a phone and a firearm belonging to one of the officers.
The driver denied the accusation, contending that the charges against him were fabricated. Subsequently, a confrontation occurred, leading to the claim that the officer struck him on the head with handcuffs.
“I went to the police station and they accused me of stealing a mobile phone and other items from the officer,” claimed the driver in the video sent to Sikika Safety by a concerned onlooker.
“There are some people who captured him on video. He was walking while I was driving and indicated that I was going to leave. He ordered me to stop.”
Venting his frustrations about the incident, the driver encouraged the bystanders who had recorded the event on their phones to post the videos online and assist in holding the officer accountable.
