Martha Karua Declares Her Stance After Raila’s Men Join Ruto
NARC-Kenya party leader Martha Karua rejected the idea of joining President William Ruto’s administration on Thursday.
In an interview with Ghetto Radio, Karua made it clear that she remains in the opposition despite the potential fragmentation within the coalition.
Karua asserted her commitment to supporting Kenyans and fulfilling her role as an opposition leader, irrespective of the shifting political landscape.
She emphasized her dedication to standing with Kenyans and expressed her readiness to serve them if given the opportunity.
Regarding the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report that suggested creating an opposition leader position, Karua distanced herself from the report, indicating that she was not interested in the issues proposed.

Karua clarified that she would not endorse a proposal she deemed unnecessary but reaffirmed her commitment to serving Kenyans from the opposition.
She vowed to maintain her political stance and remain active whether in government or opposition, should the chance arise.
Karua urged the youth to continue advocating for effective leadership for the nation’s progress, noting their unwavering resolve.
She criticized politicians for overlooking the concerns of young protesters and rejected the notion that their protests lack substance.
Karua highlighted that while a revolution may be guided by various leaders, it is the youth who drive it forward.
Her remarks come amid reports of a rift within the Azimio coalition, sparked by some members aligning with President William Ruto after he appointed several senior Azimio politicians to cabinet roles.
