Man Who Left Home ‘With Ksh.10,000 For Christmas Merry-Making’ Found Dead

Authorities in Mumias West are currently delving into the tragic demise of 42-year-old Enock Nechesa, a cherished resident of Musanda’s Eshikangu village.

 The unfolding investigation follows Nechesa’s perplexing disappearance after he was last spotted departing from his residence on Christmas Day.

Reportedly, family members divulged to Gossipa2z that Nechesa had ventured out with a sum of Ksh.10,000, intending to revel in the festive season.

 However, he never returned home. Instead, his lifeless body was unearthed close to a river in Ingusi on Tuesday morning, bearing apparent signs of injury.

In light of this distressing incident, local chief Elisha Ondako confirmed Nechesa’s intentions on the ill-fated day and highlighted the ongoing inquiry into the circumstances leading to his tragic demise.

The disheartening turn of events has stirred unrest among area residents, who are increasingly vocal about the burgeoning insecurity plaguing their community. 

Calls for swift action and decisive measures by law enforcement to address the escalating safety concerns echo throughout the region.

This incident marks yet another grim occurrence in the vicinity, arriving shortly after the discovery of Francis Akafwala’s body, aged 37, abandoned in Ebubala Indoli village, a mere stone’s throw away from Eshikangu village. 

The proximity of these events has intensified apprehensions among locals, heightening the urgency for concrete solutions to ensure community safety.

Further amplifying the gravity of the situation, Dan Ashuma, aged 40, narrowly escaped a harrowing encounter with assailants at the Buhuru shopping center. 

Ashuma sustained severe injuries in the attack and received urgent medical attention at a nearby private medical facility, illustrating the alarming escalation of violence and threats faced by residents in the area.

As investigations persist, residents remain on edge, urging swift and robust action from law enforcement to stem the tide of insecurity that has cast a shadow over their community.
