South Africa’s Queen Charlotte’s A Bridgerton Affair is Mammito domination.
On April 16, Netflix South Africa hosted the world premiere of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Affair.
On Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Story, Golda Rosheuvel (who portrays Queen Charlotte) interacted with several famous Kenyans.
The event took place at the picturesque Quoin Rock Wine Estate, where the distinguished guests of Shondaland’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story celebrated the invitation in grand style.
The comedian Mammito’s stunning gown stole the show. Kate Actress, Tanzania’s Idris Sultan, Azzaid Nasenya, Joy Kendi, Nikita Kering, and Anyiko Owoko were among the other East African celebrities who slayed the red carpet.

The highly anticipated series, written and produced by Shonda Rhimes, is a prequel spin-off about fan-favorite Queen Charlotte, played by accomplished Guyanese-British actor Golda Rosheuvel.
The series recounts the origins of many beloved characters, including Lady Danbury (Andjoa Andoh reprises her role). Young Lady Danbury is portrayed by breakout star Arsema Thomas, an actor with roots in Ethiopia, Nigeria, and South Africa.
Rosheuvel and Thomas appeared at the high-society Bridgerton-themed event, which was attended by celebrities, actors, and influencers from Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa.
The Netflix six-part series premiered on May 4, 2023, and the South African premiere was part of the global celebrations.
A week ago, the Kenyan celebration of Queen Charlotte took place.
