Malala Responds to MP Oscar Sudi’s Barbs: ‘I Recognize His Handwriting, That Tweet’s Not His!’
UDA Party Secretary General Cleophas Malala responded to Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi’s mockery regarding his previous caution to uphold respect for party leadership and the presidency.
Malala issued a stern warning to Sudi and other party-elected leaders, including two Cabinet Secretaries, advising them to refrain from publicly humiliating party officials, notably Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and President William Ruto.
In retaliation, Sudi referred to Malala as an “Elevated MCA suffering from illusory superiority, thinking he matches Raphael Tuju’s caliber.”
Malala told Citizen TV that he believed the statement posted on Sudi’s X social media platform was crafted by his communications team, not the legislator himself.
He maintained that Sudi, a staunch ally of Ruto, is a reputable leader who wouldn’t engage in derogatory remarks against other leaders.
“When I saw that tweet I laughed it off because I knew it was not him who wrote it. I would urge him to communicate with his communications team which is handling his Twitter account to seek his approval before posting anything on his account,” he said.

“I am certain MP Sudi is a respectable leader and he is my friend. It is not him who tweeted that tweet I know his handwriting. I would urge all those MCAs who felt belittled to understand that it was not Sudi who tweeted that.”
Malala has faced criticism over the past day from those he singled out in his cautionary message. In response, Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga stated that Malala holds little importance within the UDA party and should be swiftly expelled.
“Ag SG Malala in UDA is like a square peg in a round hole. He doesn’t fit. I have said it before and I repeat, we must get rid of him in the coming UDA elections,โ stated Kahiga.
Speculations arise about a potential rift between the president and his deputy, revealing internal divisions within the party.
MP Sudi and DP Gachagua have engaged in public clashes, particularly after Gachagua cautioned young Rift Valley politicians close to President William Ruto against disrespecting him and the people of Mt. Kenya.
