Limpopo Mom Arrested for Horrific Murder of Disabled Son
A woman is set to face a court hearing after being accused of killing her 18-year-old son, who was confined to a wheelchair.
In Leshikishiki village, Lebowakgomo, Limpopo, the tragic event occurred, according to TimesLIVE.
The 48-year-old woman was detained after police discovered a disturbing scene near a local tavern.
The decapitated body of the young man was found in his wheelchair, with his head placed on the ground.
The event took place on Friday and left the community and law enforcement in shock.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba said:
“No one else was at the scene. Police launched initial investigations, leading them to the deceased’s mother. After a comprehensive investigation, she was confirmed to be linked to the murder of her son and was taken into custody.”
Mashaba outlined the chilling aspects of the case, stating that the only individuals present at the scene were the victim and his mother.
The police promptly began their investigation and quickly connected the mother to the crime, resulting in her arrest.
At the scene, a knife believed to be the murder weapon was confiscated by the police.
