KUCCPS Releases 2023 University and TVET Placement Results for KCSE Students: How to Check

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) announced the placement results for university and TVET programs for 2023 KCSE students on Tuesday, May 21.

According to CEO Agnes Wahome, 134,743 students were placed in public universities to pursue various degree programs.

Additionally, over 18,000 students were placed in private universities to pursue degree courses.

Wahome noted that more male students who took their national exams in 2023 applied for university degree courses.

In contrast, more female students applied for degree programs at TVET institutions.

“85 percent of 2023 KCSE candidates with C+ and above applied, with 76.2 percent opting for degree courses, while the rest chose diploma courses (11,991).

“Bachelor of Education attracted the highest number of applicants. Male applicants continued to dominate degree program placements, a trend observed since the start of the central placement system,” the CEO stated.
