KRA Extends Operating Hours to Midnight Ahead of Tax Return Deadline

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has adjusted its operating hours as the deadline for tax return submissions draws near. As reported in local newspapers on Tuesday, May 28, the authority has announced extended hours, including late-night operations on certain days.

This extension applies to all KRA service centers, Huduma Centers, and the contact center. Weekdays will see these facilities open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to accommodate taxpayers.

Saturdays will also have extended hours from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with an exception on June 29 when services will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Sundays will remain closed except for June 30, when operations will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Select Huduma Centers will mirror KRA’s hours, operating from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, while others will open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. These centers will be closed on Saturdays.
