Kindiki’s Warning: Politicians Stay Away from Shakola Post Raila’s Rejection
Sunday, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki warned politicians not to enter the Shakola area that has been cordoned off as a result of a security operation to investigate the death of over a hundred members of a suspected cult.
The operation was carried out in response to the discovery of the bodies of those individuals.
The directive was issued by the CS just a few days after Raila Odinga. The leader of the opposition, was barred from entering the forest in Kilifi County.
According to the directive. The only political leaders who are permitted to enter the forest are members of the parliamentary security committee.
“Because Shakahola is a security operation zone and the National Assembly Security Committee plays a role in the process, I permitted them to enter the area. Stay out of it, all you other politicians. It is best not to bring politics into Shakahola, he advised.
Odinga was unable to enter the area on Friday. A day after he announced his intention to challenge President William Ruto’s decision. To establish an investigation commission into the starvation cult in court.

The Minister of the Interior has stated that 112 bodies have been exhumed so far. And on Tuesday, detectives will continue searching the area for any additional graves that may have been missed.
“The experts tell us that there are more graves at Shakahola, but so far we have only been able to exhume 112 bodies there. Because the weather has cleared up, we will pick up where we left off with the exhumation process on Tuesday. On Sunday, Professor Kindiki made the statement that “these criminals have cost us as a nation a great deal.”
“There is nothing the government is trying to hide. “We will broadcast the truth to the world because we don’t want this kind of tragedy to ever happen again,” he added.
It doesn’t matter how many bodies are recovered from Shakahola; we will still tell the world the truth.
The investigation that is currently taking place alleges that Pastor Paul Mackenzie Nthenge of the Good News International Church instructed members to starve themselves to “meet Jesus.”
