Unknown individuals who conduct their complete businesses on e-commerce platforms such as eBay are responsible for the listing of Kenyan Shilling coins.

The Central Bank of Kenya issued the Mwai Kibaki-engraved Ksh40 coin in 2003 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Kenya’s independence.

It is a popular coin among collectors, and its value is likely to rise over time due to its availability on eBay in grades ranging from excellent to extremely fine.

“Take clear and close-up photos of the coins. This will help buyers to see the condition of the coins and to determine if they are interested in bidding,” the website reads.

However, eBay cautions that the image displayed is for promotional purposes only. The online store warned that the coin may have scratches, grime, or oxidation damage.

The composition of the Ksh40 coin includes a copper-nickel core surrounded by a nickel brass rim with a diameter of 27.5 mm and a weight of 11 grams.

“The Mwai Kibaki engraved Ksh40 coin is a unique and valuable piece of Kenyan history. It is a fitting tribute to one of the country’s most beloved presidents,” the product description further reads.
