Kericho Leaders Endorse President Ruto’s New Cabinet Appointments: “We Are Satisfied”
A group of leaders from Kericho has endorsed the partial cabinet nominees put forward by President William Ruto on Friday.
At a political gathering on Saturday, these leaders, spearheaded by Kipkelion West MP Hillary Kosgei, voiced their approval of the individuals proposed by the President. Ruto is working to reorganize his administration following a month-long period of public criticism.
The leaders, while expressing support for the new nominees, emphasized the importance of combating corruption as Kenyaโs economy seeks recovery from recent challenges.
โWe are pleased with the selections made, and once the names are presented to Parliament, we will fulfill our duties as National Assembly members,โ Kosgei said.
The leaders expressed gratitude to the President for retaining some Cabinet Secretaries from the previous administration.

They particularly welcomed the reappointment of Aden Duale to the Ministry of Defence.
Additionally, they noted that Davis Chirchir had performed admirably in his previous role in the Energy sector, justifying his return to the Cabinet.
This development follows President William Rutoโs nomination of 11 new Cabinet members on Friday, amid speculation that he plans to offer 7 positions to the opposition Azimio Coalition.
In his address to the nation on July 19, the President proposed retaining certain previous Cabinet members, including Kithure Kindiki as Interior CS.
Former Cabinet Secretaries slated to retain their roles include Alice Wahome (Lands), Aden Duale (Defence), and Soipan Tuya (Environment). Meanwhile, Davis Chirchir was appointed to the Roads and Transport docket, and Rebecca Miano was nominated as the new Attorney General, succeeding Justin Muturi.
