Andrew and Tristan Tate will remain in jail after their appeal was denied, despite their lawyer’s claim that they have small children.
ANDREW and Tristan Tate will remain imprisoned in Romania after a court denied their release request.

The disgraced pair were in court for six hours on Tuesday, appealing prosecutors’ decision to keep them in prison until the end of January.
They’ve been detained since December 29 as part of an investigation into human trafficking, rape, and organized crime.

The court rejected their appeals against a judge’s decision to extend their arrest period from 24 hours to 30 days, according to Ramona Bolla of Romania’s crime agency DIICOT.

Andrew, Tristan, and two alleged accomplices, Luana Radu and Georgina Naghel will now be held for the entire 30-day period.

The judge said the “possibility of them evading investigations cannot be ignored” – and added, “they could leave Romania and settle in countries that do not allow extradition”.

Eugen Vidineac, Andrew and Tristan’s lawyer, stated: “I am extremely disappointed. To me, the measure appears excessive.”

The brothers were taken back to the Central Police Detention Center around 3 p.m. local time after leaving court.

The hearing was held behind closed doors.

Vidineac contended that the couple should have been released because they both have young children in the country.

Andrew, 36, and Tristan have been imprisoned in a Romanian “hellhole.”

Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors detained the brothers, along with two female suspects, in Bucharest pending a criminal investigation.

Andrew and Tristan are accused of using social media to recruit women and persuade them to visit their £600,000 villa on the outskirts of the country’s capital.

The brothers allegedly pretended to be in love with the young women before forcing them to perform sexual acts on webcams.

According to Romanian investigators, women were forced to film porn videos in the compound and were kept under house arrest 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Prosecutors also allege that one of the brothers raped one of the victims in March of last year when the investigation was launched.

If the court decides that the investigation requires more time, prosecutors can request additional extensions of up to 180 days in detention under Romanian law.

The court decision was issued on Tuesday evening after one of the brothers was reportedly rushed to the hospital while in custody.

One of them was taken to see a doctor after a “routine medical check,” according to Romanian news channel Antena 3 CNN.

They reportedly told a medic about a pre-existing medical condition before being taken to a hospital in Bucharest, Romania’s capital.

However, Andrew later tweeted a link to the article with a cryptic message.

“The Matrix has attacked me,” he wrote.

“However, they are mistaken; you cannot kill an idea. It’s difficult to kill.”

Controversial Tate rose to prominence following a brief appearance on Big Brother.

He was fired from the reality show after an alleged video of him assaulting a woman surfaced online.

He has since sparked revulsion and outrage with a flood of content on the internet.

Tate, who was born in Washington, DC, was accused of spreading hatred toward women as he rose through the ranks.

In 2017, the influencer was banned from Twitter for violating the platform’s terms of service with his controversial comments.

He has previously referred to women as “property” and stated that they should bear “some responsibility” if sexually assaulted.
