Kenyan Athlete Reported Missing
The family of Jane Hato, the U20 Rising Starlets captain, is appealing for public help to trace her whereabouts.
Her mother, Anne Aluoch, said, “I last saw her at 7.30 pm yesterday [Wednesday] when she was leaving home”.
She said Jane was dressed in a navy blue tracksuit and orange sports shoes when she left home in Saika estate along Kangundo road.
Jane was carrying a black traveling bag, her mother added.
The Kenya Football Federation (FKF) said Jane, who plays for the Kenya Police Bullets FC, was scheduled to link up with the U20 Rising Starlets for a Champions League zonal qualification match in Ethiopia but she never showed up.

“Jane was expected to join her team for their journey to Ethiopia for the CAF women’s Champions League zonal qualifiers. However, she did not arrive at the designated meeting point, and her current whereabouts are unknown,” the federation said.
Speaking to the Star on the phone, her mother Anne said no word of her daughter’s whereabouts had come through as of 2 pm Thursday.
“They have not confirmed anything, still no report yet,” she said.
Anyone with information that can help trace Jane should report to the nearest police station or contact her mother via 0710-322-573 or Jectan from FKF at 0727-382-466.
