    Kenya Power’s Thursday Blackout: See Which Areas Will Be Affected

    Kenya Power’s Thursday Blackout: See Which Areas Will Be Affected

    Kenya Power has listed areas in three counties that will experience power interruption on Thursday.

    The power company said the interruptions are scheduled to allow time for system maintenance.

    The utility firm announced this on Wednesday evening.

    The power company said the areas fall within Meru, Laikipia, and Nyeri counties.

    The power interruptions will occur at diverse times of the day, from 9 am to 5 pm.

    Parts of Meru that will experience power interruptions from 9 am to 5 pm include Mikinduri Market, Mucuune Market, Mucuune Hospital, Kiguchwa Market, Kaliene Boarding, Irindiro Market, Ngutu and Githu kwa Munya.

    Areas in Laikipia County to experience power cuts from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm are Makutano, Turraccco, HM Clause, Kongoni Farm, Everest Farm, Equinox, Color Crops, and Ibis Farm.

    In Nyeri, areas to experience power interruptions from 8 am to 5 pm include Othaya Town, KNH Othaya Hosp, Miiri Market, Gitugi T/Fact, Iriaini T/Fact, Kabebero Market, Kihuri Market, Kenyatta Mahiga School, Mahiga Girls School, Birithia Secondary, Mathenge Technical Institute, Munyange, Njigari Market, Kanini TBC, Gituiga TBC, Wanjau Market, Munyange H/Center, Karandi Forest, and Ihithe Market.

    Other areas are Ihithe Secondary and Primary School, Mukarara Market, Gahuthi T/Fact, Kiamutiga Village, Gatherere Village, Hohoini PCEA, Hubuini Market, Kina TBC, Kahuro PCEA, Gthumbi Village, Kairuthi Market and Kihome Market and Secondary School.
