Kenya Power Schedules Tuesday Outages Across 10 Counties: Nairobi, Makueni, Kiambu Among Affected Areas
Kenya Power has announced that certain areas in 10 counties will experience scheduled power interruptions on Tuesday.
These interruptions are set to occur between 8 am and 5 pm, affecting parts of Nairobi, Makueni, Bomet, Nyandarua, Uasin Gishu, Kisii, Homa Bay, Nyeri, Laikipia, and Kiambu counties.
In Nairobi, power outages are planned from 9 am to 5 pm, impacting locations such as 1st Parklands, Ita Road, Swami Papa Road, Batubatu East, sections of 2nd Parklands, Jaralam Road, Mpaka Road, Ring Road, Mwanzi Road, Shivachi Road, Banderi Road, and Masari Road.
Makueni County will also face interruptions from 9 am to 5 pm in several areas, including Itangini Market, Kaumoni, Ngoluni, Kisau Girls, Mbumbuni Market, No Nyanya, Ngaa, Kithungo, Tawa, Kalawani, Wanzauni, Kikima, Mavindu, Uvaani, and Kyuu Nzeveni.
In Bomet, power outages are scheduled from 9 am to 4 pm in areas like Kapletundo Market, Kimolwet Market, Kimawit, Chebango EPZ, Kipketii Primary, Kamogoso, Chebole Market, and Daima Dairies.

Nyandarua County is also among the affected, with interruptions from 9 am to 5 pm in areas such as Weru, Githabai, Kwa Joma, Koinange, Gituro, Kiahuko, Kwa White, Kirima, Kwa Ben, Elmer Resort, Rimiflora, Murungaru Center, Top Harvest Farm, Memo Centre, Turasha, Mwangaza, Kihumbu, Jura, Lereshwa, and Neema Children’s Home.
In Uasin Gishu, power cuts from 10 am to 5 pm will affect Kapseret Lemook, Mosombor School, Kapteldon, Nilkath Quarry, and Shajnaand Quarry.
Kisii County will face interruptions between 8 am and 4 pm, affecting part of Nyamataro Market, Kiamwasi Youth Polytechnic, Kiamwasi Dispensary, Nyamorenyo, and Mochengo.
Power outages in Homa Bay are planned from 9 am to 5 pm in areas including Sukari Industry, Oridi Girls, Ligodho, Pala Kamenya, and Riat Market.
Nyeri County will also experience interruptions from 9 am to 4 pm in Zinc, Giathugu, South Tetu Girls Secondary School, Mweru, and Mihuti.
In Laikipia, power cuts from 9 am to 4:30 pm will affect Doldol Market, Olkinyei, Kiwanja Ndege, Illipollei, Kaimanjo, and Ol-Donyiro.
Lastly, Kiambu County will experience outages from 9 am to 5 pm, affecting areas like Rironi, Kiroe, Ngecha, Mahinga, KBC Rironi, Gitangu, Tilisi, Nduma, Mirithu, Swatch, and Luquman Petrol Station.
These interruptions are part of routine maintenance and infrastructure upgrades being carried out by Kenya Power, which regularly schedules such outages to improve service delivery across the affected regions. Residents in the listed areas are advised to plan accordingly for these disruptions.
