Kenya Power Announces Scheduled Outages Across Five Counties This Thursday
Affected regions include Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Meru, and Murang’a.
Power disruptions will vary throughout the day, occurring between 9 am and 5 pm.
In Nakuru, power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm will impact Olrongai Centre, Gitau Centre, Olrongai Raymond, Komen, Duka Moja, Redwing, Tulwobmoi, Agrico Potatoes, and Marigo B.
Additionally, areas like Pipeline and Wanyama, including Stem Hotel, Kenya Pipe Line, West Build, Joddies, Ken Chick, Lake Nakuru Lodge, Shimo Mbili, Delamere, and Kwa Mwariki, will experience power outages from 9 am to 3 pm.
In Uasin Gishu, power will be interrupted between 10 am and 4 pm in Chepkongi Primary School and Lower Sosiani, while Chemaluk, Sego Girls, and Konda will be affected from 10 am to 5 pm.
Elgeyo Marakwet will see power interruptions from 10 am to 5 pm in areas such as Chebororwa, Duka Moja, Koitugum, Kaptiony, and Kokwet.

In Meru, power outages from 9 am to 5 pm will impact Mafuko Bakery, Gulf Petrol Station, Kagaa, Runogone, Chugu, KEMU University, Fred’s Academy, Kithoka, Ripples, Runogone, and Chugu.
Murang’a will also experience power disruptions from 9 am to 5 pm in locations like Kamukombini Motel, Kiarutara, Wanyaga, Gaturi, Mwago, Gateiguru, Kiganjo, Gatura, Mugumoini, Gatura Mkt, Gatura Secondary, Mwago Secondary, and Kiroche.
Furthermore, areas such as New Wood East, JKUAT University, Kalimoni Secondary, Kalimoni Hospital, Juja Modern Hospital, Theta Hotel, Star of Hope East, Kwa Woria, Bristar Girls School, Faith East, Gate C, St. Peters School, Gachororo, Juja Police Station, Elmark East, Juja Main Stage, Green Field East, Juja Sewage, Juja South, Kanini Farm East, Kenyatta Road, Turraco Village, and Superhighway East in Murang’a will be without power.
Additional Murang’a regions, including Sasini EPZ, Cianda Farm, Ndumberi, Ngemwa, Ngaita, Riabai, Migaa, Kenton, Marion School, St. Anne’s Lioki, Karia, Wimsy, Todas, Migaa Golf, Mugumo, St. Joseph the Worker, Gitamayu, Tinganga S/Centre, Digro Investment, and Fairview East, will experience power interruptions from 9 am to 5 pm.
Lastly, areas such as Limuru Town, Karanjee, Kwambera, Ngenia, Thigio, Gitutha, Nguirubi, and Ndioni in Murang’a will also be affected by power outages.
