Kasarani murder: Police probe naked body found tied and stabbed in river

Authorities in Nairobi County are currently looking into a disturbing occurrence in Kasarani Sub-County, where the deceased body of a woman was found discarded in a river.

The police report acquired by PoliticalPulseChat states that the individual discovered unclothed and securely restrained inside a sack, displayed evident stab injuries on her neck.

The somber revelation occurred when officers initially believed the bag held abandoned baggage, only to expose the shocking reality of the woman’s hidden remains.

The victim’s clandestine disposal occurred along the river that flows from Kasarani and Lucky Summer to Githurai.

Mr. Adamson Bungei, the Police Chief of Nairobi County, called upon those who have recently experienced the loss of a family member to step forward and assist in the process of identifying the deceased.

At the same time, investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are looking into another unsettling incident in Kasarani Sub-County, which concerns the death of a 17-year-old minor.

On January 8, 2023, a student from Clay City Secondary School disappeared, and the unfortunate revelation of his deceased body took place at Kamkonde Dam two days later.

During the recent recovery, investigators observed physical injuries on the body of the underage individual.

The deceased’s parents had previously filed a missing person report, leading to the current inquiry to determine if he was murdered and then disposed of in the dam.

“Officers want to establish whether the deceased was killed elsewhere before his body was dumped inside the dam,” a police officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, shared with Nairobi News.

The remains of the juvenile have been moved to the mortuary at Kenyatta University, where a thorough autopsy will be conducted. Authorities are increasing their efforts to understand the details surrounding both incidents.
