Kalonzo: Raila Can’t Persuade Me to Work With Ruto
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has firmly stated that ODM leader Raila Odinga cannot convince him to join President William Ruto’s side.
Speaking in an interview on Monday, June 30, Kalonzo made it clear that he stands with ordinary Kenyans.
“Some people believe Raila can talk me into joining Ruto’s camp — they need to forget that. I will stand where the people are. I’ve come to understand that this is the right path,” Kalonzo said.
He added that although he was previously criticized, those same critics have now changed positions.
Kalonzo also accused Raila of betrayal, pointing out that he supported him in three straight elections, only to feel let down in the end.

“Kenyans never expected Raila to work with the Kenya Kwanza government,” he added. “He needs to take time and reflect on his actions.”
When asked about their relationship, Kalonzo said they don’t meet often but would be open to a conversation if Raila reached out.
“I don’t see him regularly. But I’m a national leader — if he calls, I’ll pick up. That’s about it,” he noted.
Kalonzo further stated that if Raila plans to return to the opposition, he must do so respectfully.
“If Raila wants to leave the so-called broad-based government, that’s fine. But I’m not joining him in government. If he comes back to the opposition, he’ll have to get in line like everyone else,” Kalonzo said
