Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Sunday, March 17, led a group of 17 politicians and leaders drawn from the opposition to donate Ksh300,000.

Kalonzo and his team made the contribution at the Anointed Christian Fellowship Church of the Lord in Banana, Kiambu County where the politician had attended a Sunday service.

Speaking while handing over the contribution, Kalonzo stated that Kenya was undergoing tough times and hence the need to help each other.

Although the church did not have a formal fundraiser, Kalonzo remarked that the money could be used for further construction of the house of worship.

โ€œWe can see the contractor did a good workmanship in laying the tiles and we hope the cash can be used to paint the church,โ€ Kalonzo remarked.

Other leaders who contributed to the Ksh300,000 included Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua and his Machakos counterpart Agnes Kavindu.

Parliamentarians Stephen Mule (Matungulu) and Babu Owino (Embakasi East) also contributed to the Ksh300,000 sum.

Kalonzo reading out the names of those who contributed remarked that three Members of the County Assembly affiliated with Azimio had also donated.

The former vice president was also accompanied by political leaders from Nyamira and Kisii counties where Wiper Party has a sizeable following.

Tom Otuto who was a deputy governor aspirant for Nyamira led the delegation from the region in contributing.

Other politicians and leaders who made contributions belonged to Wiper National Executive Council (NEC) and Kitui County wiper politicians serving on the election board.

Kalonzo Musyoka is on a nationwide tour to popularise his candidature for the 2027 presidential election.
