Julius Ogamba: Meet Machogu’s deputy named Education CS
President William Ruto has picked Former CS Ezekiel Machogu’s running mate in the 2022 Kisii Gubernatorial race Julius Migos Ogamba as his successor at the Education Ministry if Parliament approves his nomination.
Machogu and Ogamba vied on a UDA party ticket but lost to the current Governor Simba Arati.
Until his nomination, Ogamba is the current KenGen chairperson.
Ogamba, a lawyer, also ran for the Kitutu Chache North parliamentary seat in the 2017 election.

In March 2023, Migos was also appointed as the new chairman of the Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) Board.
He succeeded former Chief of Defence Forces of the Kenya Defence Forces Samson Mwathethe in the role.
Migos is an advocate with nearly 30 years of legal practice experience.
He has built a reputation for providing legal advice to a diverse portfolio of clientele in several industries.
Ogamba has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi, a Diploma in Law from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
He is also a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public, as well as a member of the Kenya Law Society.
