Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi Involved in Car Accident
Igembe South Member of Parliament John Paul Mwirigi was on Tuesday noon involved in an accident in Chuka, Meru County.
The accident that occurred in the Kirubia area happened after the car ferrying the legislator veered off the road and rolled onto one of its sides.
Luckily, the occupants of the vehicle were not injured, including the MP.
Even so, it is yet to be established whether it was the MP or his driver steering the car.
Following the accident, the vehicle’s front was deformed and its lights shattered. The tires were also deflated as well.
Police officers arrived at the scene minutes later and could be seen combing the scene to establish what had caused the accident.

Residents could be seen surrounding the accident scene even as some aided the legislator and his aides.
According to an online user, the area has recorded 3 major accidents in the recent past culminating in the loss of lives.
Meanwhile, the MP has yet to comment on the matter.
The accident comes three days after Busia senator Okiya Omtatah was involved in an accident along the Kisumu- Busia highway.
The accident which occurred in the Ojolla area involved a trailer that lost control and rammed into the legislator’s car.
Narrating the incident, the Senator explained that he swerved after realizing the trailer had lost control, noting that he was lucky to have narrowly escaped death.
The popular legislator noted he was able to head home safely after the incident.
