IEBC Chairperson Recruitment: 11 Candidates Shortlisted for Interviews
The panel responsible for selecting nominees for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson position has shortlisted 11 candidates.
In a notice on Friday, March 14, 2025, the selection panel announced that interviews will be held from Monday, March 24, 2025, to Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

The following individuals have been shortlisted for the position:
- Charles Ayako Nyachae (former East Africa Court of Justice judge)
- Anne Atieno Amadi (former Chief Registrar of the Judiciary)
- Abdulqadir Lorot Ramadhan
- Edward Katama Negywa
- Jacob Ngwiele Muvengei
- Joy Brenda Masinde-Mdivo
- Lilian Wanjiku Manegene
- Robert Akumu Asembo
- Saul Simiyu Wasilwa
- Erastus Ethekon
- Francis Kissinger
Interview Schedule
- Monday, March 24, 2025: Ramadhan, Amadi, Nyachae, and Negywa
- Tuesday, March 25, 2025: Ethekon, Kissinger, Muvengei, and Masinde-Mdivo
- Wednesday, March 26, 2025: Manegene, Asembo, and Wasilwa
The interviews will run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day.
Requirements for Candidates
Candidates must bring the following:
- Original national identity card or passport
- Original copies of their academic and professional certificates
Additionally, they must present clearance documents from:
- Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
- Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
- Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
- Commission for University Education (CUE)
- Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
Public Participation
The selection panel has invited the public to submit any relevant information about the shortlisted candidates.
