I did Not Leak Them – Woman in Viral Photos with Oparanya Speaks
The woman whose photos with former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya went viral on social media, sparking responses, stated that she did not release them.
In a conversation with Tuko, Mary Biketi mentioned that she has been impacted by the criticism she’s faced from people who believe she revealed information about the former governor.
“It feels totally bad but there is nothing much I can do. At the same time, I have been receiving positive comments and I just thank God and the people out there for the encouragement,” she stated.
Biketi, as a private individual, stated she couldn’t release the photos and did not want to expose the former Governor in that manner.
“But now that they are out there, there is nothing much I can say,” she reiterated.
She mentioned that they were considering pursuing legal action against the individual responsible for the leak, noting that the incident had impacted their families.

She offered more details about the nature of her relationship with the former governor, explaining:
“I don’t need to explain much. I already know myself and the kind of relationship I’m in. Those who want to talk will talk”.
In a video she posted on her Facebook page on Monday, Oparanya criticized the leak and mentioned that she has a family that needs her protection.
“I have a big family to protect so those sending out fake news should stop. Here I am, I can speak, I have no problem. I have been in Mombasa for a few days meeting my people from my community,” he said.
