‘I Came, I Saw, I Conquered’: Kuria’s Top 12 Trade Ministry Achievements
Moses Kuria, the outgoing Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade, and Industry, has highlighted his accomplishments in the portfolio as he prepares to assume his new position as Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management.
In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, Kuria displayed a poster of his 12 most notable accomplishments at the Trade Tribunal with the Latin phrase ‘Veni, Vidi, Vici,’ which translates to ‘I came, I saw, I conquered.’
During his 11 months and 6 days as Trade Secretary, according to Kuria, he implemented the exports and promotion levy to discourage unnecessary imports and initiated 26 mega agreements with the Gulf region and Indonesia.
In addition, he emphasized that he had effectively negotiated a Ksh.450 billion investment from Afriexim Bank in E-Mobility, Special Economic Zones, and Export Processing Zones, as well as completing an economic partnership agreement with the European Union.
The controversial CS added to his list of accomplishments the establishment of industrial parks in thirteen counties regarded as opposition Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition strongholds, as well as three Kenya Kwanza counties.

The remaining accomplishments are detailed on the poster he shared below.
This comes after Kuria on Thursday dismissed claims that his transfer from the Ministry of Trade to the Ministry of Public Service by President William Ruto was a demotion.
Kuria, in typical fashion, unleashed a scathing attack on “enemies” who were celebrating the opening of the Garissa Industrial Park when he spoke at the event.
The CS instead maintained that he is prepared to serve in his new position, which, according to him, is charged with ensuring that all other ministries deliver services to Kenyans.
Kuria then mocked his so-called adversaries, stating that they would soon be so baffled by his exceptional performance that they would return to the President to request his redeployment.
