HELLFIRE HORROR: Worshippers in Bomet Torch Granny Alive in ‘Satanic Purge’ Ritual
In a heartbreaking event, a group of churchgoers in Kapkwen, Bomet County, set an elderly woman on fire on Saturday. They believed she had evil objects and wanted to cleanse her.
The worshippers claimed that the old woman had things like snakes and frogs, which they considered signs of witchcraft. They insisted that burning her was the only way to get rid of these things that were supposedly attached to her.
A disturbing video obtained by Gossipa2z.com showed the church ushers, under the pastor’s leadership, tying up the woman and placing her in an open field. While other members of the church laughed and watched, the ushers lit a fire. Some of them then lifted the woman and placed her over the flames, holding her by her legs and arms. Meanwhile, the rest of the congregation chanted prayers.

Another added, “To make sure all the evil left her, we had to take her outside and burn her. We couldn’t let her leave with those things since she had come seeking help.”
Although the woman survived, she suffered severe burns.
The pastor also mentioned that they found books, pieces of people’s hair, and other materials they believed she used for witchcraft, along with the frogs and snakes.
After this shocking act, the police shut down the church. Investigations revealed that apart from burning people, the church had a practice of whipping members to drive out evil spirits.
Authorities were alerted when two women, unable to bear watching the ritual, ran out and reported the matter at Kapkwen Police Station. This led officers to act quickly.
Bomet County Police Commander Edward Imbwaga confirmed that the church was closed and investigations had begun. Officers are also searching for the suspects, who went into hiding. The investigation will also determine whether the church was legally registered.
