Hawker Disguise: Detectives Crack Murder of US-Based Couple
Friday, May 19, undercover detectives in Nyamira County arrested a 40-year-old man. Suspected of murdering a couple from the United States.

Also recovered were various spanners, nuts, screwdrivers, and pliers allegedly used to break into vehicles.
The suspect had ties to multiple crimes in Nairobi and the Nyanza region, according to the police.
The Assassination of the Nyamira Couple
Edward and Grace Morema were murdered in their vacation home in Nyamira on the evening of March 21, 2023.
The bodies of the American couple were discovered in their home on March 22 by their housekeeper and farmhand while they were performing chores.
According to reports, the workers became suspicious when the couple, who frequently awoke before dawn, had not been spotted by 10 a.m.
“As they searched, they discovered the lifeless body of a woman on a bed in a pool of blood in one of the bedrooms, while the body of a man was discovered in the garage.
DCI stated that the heads of the deceased were slashed deeply and that their hands and legs were bound together with electric cables.
Detectives were even more perplexed by the fact that the housekeeper did not hear any screams during the incident. She was sleeping in one of the rooms of the Keroka mansion.
On the night of their murder, it was also reported that the couple had a mysterious visitor at their home. According to the housekeeper, she left the couple with the guest in the living room. On the evening of March 21 before retiring to bed.
Police arrested three additional suspects in connection with the March murders.
