Hamburg Jehovah’s Witness Shooting: Eight Dead, Three Injured.

The police were notified of the shooting in the Gross Borstel neighborhood at approximately 9:00 p.m., and the motive for the attack is currently unknown.

In an attack on a Jehovah’s Witness building in the German city of Hamburg, eight people were shot to death and three others were severely injured.

According to police, the shooting was carried out by a lone gunman who may be among the deceased, although this has not been confirmed.

Thursday at 9:03 p.m., shots were fired at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Gross Borstel district, and police were notified.

The gunman reportedly opened fire upon entering the building before fleeing to the first floor, according to the police. The officers then heard gunfire from an upper floor and discovered a body on the upper floor.

Holger Vehren, a police spokesperson, stated that none of the officers fired their weapons.

A witness stated to reporters: “We heard gunfire.

“There were twelve uninterrupted shots.

Then we witnessed individuals being taken away in black bags.

In a tweet, the Hamburg Police Department said: “We discovered a deceased individual in a community center in Groß-Borstel who we believe may be a perpetrator.

To rule out the involvement of other perpetrators, we conduct extensive checks and searches.

Hamburg Mayor Peter Tschentscher said: “I extend my deepest condolences to the victims’ families.

“The forces are working at full capacity to track down the perpetrators and establish the context.”

Police added that a large operation was underway in the neighboring Alsterdorf neighborhood in the city’s north. The region is located a few kilometers north of Hamburg, the second-largest city in Germany.

Several armed officers and dozens of police vehicles were spotted near the crime scene.
