    Gigiri Police Officer Dies in Dawn Uhuru Highway Accident

    A tragic incident occurred on a Saturday morning along the Uhuru Highway, resulting in the loss of a police officer’s life. 

    Shadrack Otieno Genga, serving at Gigiri police station, was en route from City Centre to Mlolongo when the unfortunate accident transpired. 

    According to a police report lodged at the Industrial Area police station, Genga lost control of his vehicle at the accident site, causing it to careen off the road and overturn upon reaching a roundabout.

    The violent motion threw Genga from the vehicle, leading to his landing on the tarmac with severe head injuries that proved fatal.ย 

    The grim aftermath of the accident prompted fellow police officers to attend the scene, where they swiftly arranged for Genga’s body to be transferred to Chiromo Mortuary.
