He stated that the money was also a token of appreciation. For the overwhelming support he has received since he was elected vice president.

“The president instructed me to complete the assigned tasks. Should I now organize a party? Do you want a bash? Are you leaving today?

“You are the one who gave me this job, and if they say they want a celebration, I’ll throw them a party.” I must do it. “I will therefore leave you Ksh500,000 to organize your belongings,” he said.

In addition, Gachagua gave Ksh100,000 to students from a nearby primary school. The students amused the DP throughout the event.

“The housing program will create employment for youth, particularly graduates of TVETS, at an average rate of eight artisans per unit.” “We are requesting that all Kenyans find it important and necessary to support this program,” he stated.

Gachagua was in Nyeri County to inaugurate several development initiatives in the Mount Kenya region.

Earlier, before the commencement, the DP delivered a bus to St Benedict Wamutitu Secondary School. That had been purchased with funds from the Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).
