Gachagua Corrects Ruto’s Stance On Elnino

In response to President William Ruto’s assertion that the nation would not encounter the El Nino rain pattern, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has issued a new government stance on the matter.

The DP exhorted the nation to be prepared for El Nino while launching rain mitigation measures at Harambee House on Friday. Gachagua predicts that the precipitation will persist through the initial quarter of 2024.

“The matter is settled. El Nino, it is,” he stated.

To safeguard the lives of Kenyan citizens in the aftermath of the rains, the DP reported that numerous government agencies had devised a variety of mitigation strategies.

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), for instance, deployed aircraft to facilitate the distribution of KCSE papers in regions where roads have become impassable.

Additionally, he disclosed that throughout the rainy season, emergency response teams have been mobilized by several agencies in anticipation of life-threatening situations.
