Friday Power Outages: KPLC Reveals Affected Areas
Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruption in several areas across three counties on Friday.
The counties are Kakamega, Homa Bay, and Murang’a.
The interruption is scheduled at different times of the day between 8 am and 5 pm.

The purpose of such interruptions is to allow Kenya Power to carry out maintenance works.
Below is the breakdown of the areas and specific locations to be affected.
Kakamega
Areas to be affected will go without power from 9 am to 5 pm.
These are Butere, Manyulia, Manyala Hospital, Masala, Maondo, and adjacent customers.
Homa Bay
Areas in Homa Bay to be affected are Kiabuya, Magunga, Kogelo, Lwanda Gwassi, Nyatambe, Kisaku, Nyenga, Tonga, NYS Lambwe, Sanjwero, Kigoto and adjacent customers.
Kenya Power said the interruption will occur between 9 am and 4 pm.
Murang’a
Areas in Murang’a county will be affected from 9 am to 5 pm.
These are Maragua Town, Mugumoini, Ichagaki, Githuya, Gakoigo, Nginda, Kaharo, Irembu, Ihumbu, Gathera and Gachocho.
