Fatal Shooting of Nairobi DCI Officer Captured on CCTV: Shocking Video
Nairobi – A chilling video footage has captured the horrifying instant when a detective working for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations was fatally shot.
Police officer David Mayaka, affiliated with Makadara DCI, was the target of the assault. He was shot by criminals traveling on two motorbikes. The event took place during the evening of Tuesday, August 8th.
According to a police report, the policeman suffered severe injuries to his stomach, while his 30-year-old spouse, who was with him, also got shot in the thigh.
When the police reached the accident location, the detective was in agony, wriggling in pain beside his car, having sustained a gunshot wound.
Disturbing security camera footage is also coming to light, depicting the officer being ruthlessly murdered while his wife cried out for assistance to quickly transport him to the hospital.
In the video, the car of the person who was harmed was observed next to the street near Fishers of Men Church along St. Michael-Boston Road.
The initial moments of the video are quite ordinary, showing Mayaka standing next to his immobile car.
Nevertheless, during the second minute, a motorbike transporting individuals who would eventually be recognized as the perpetrators is observed near the car.

They move towards the back, where the police officer and his spouse are located. Subsequently, the sound of gunfire emerges as heartless criminals spread fear by attacking the officer and his wife.
Overflowing with astonishment and an inability to comprehend, the spouse of the officer is observed shrieking in a state of intense panic, urgently summoning assistance while witnessing her husband’s agonizing final exhalation.
Following a brief period of loud cries, multiple vehicles come to a halt near the location of the homicide, while the woman attempts to describe to those walking by the events that had occurred.
A few drivers and motorcycle taxi riders gather near the location of the incident. A police car is also present, but surprisingly, it leaves the scene even though the woman is pleading for assistance.
“Help us, please. I am also hurt! We have small children. Help us,” she says, trying to tell the leaving police vehicle that the one who was shot is one of them.
