Family Tragedy: Mum and Sons Found Dead at Home, Neighbours Shocked
Nadja De Jager and her two young sons, Alexander and Maximus, were identified by police as the mother and children found dead in their home.
Yesterday at 11:50 a.m., the 47-year-old and the two boys, ages nine and seven, were discovered on Mayfield Road in Belvedere, south-east London.
Following the discovery, police tape was used to quickly seal off the house.
Today, a police van and a forensics services vehicle were spotted in front of the 1940s three-bedroom terraced house.
The driveway, upon which a grey Mitsubishi pickup truck is parked, is littered with children’s toys, such as a miniature basketball net and multicolored sand toys.

Two officers carrying boxes of evidence were observed leaving a house with a “beware of the dog” sign on the front door.
A group of individuals wearing hazmat suits also inspected the interior of the vehicle, which included a handbag on the front passenger seat, two child car seats in the back, and a scooter in the trunk.
Following the tragic occurrence, horrified neighbors expressed their horror.

The senior citizen, who has lived on the street for four decades, stated, “They never caused any problems in the neighborhood.”
“As far as I know, they were a typical family. They did not reveal themselves to others.
“The neighbors in this area look out for one another.
“Seeing the children’s toys outside tugs at the heartstrings. It’s just dreadful.”
Marion reported that two police officers were examining her home’s surveillance footage for anything out of the ordinary.
‘SHOCKING’
Christopher Babutulde, 68, who lives two doors down from the family, stated that he often saw the mother walking her sons to school.
He continued, “It’s truly shocking. We are such a close-knit group that truly cares for one another.
Since yesterday, there has been an extensive police presence. Officers have been knocking on my door.”
Booja Kaur, age 42, said, “I am so shocked. I occasionally observed the woman taking her children to school.
And a fourth resident who requested anonymity stated that he believes she previously had a partner living at the residence, but that neighbors had not seen him for some time.
He stated, “My neighbor said she hadn’t seen the husband in quite some time.
“I often observed the grandmother pushing the two children in a wheelchair.
“And I would greet the family whenever I saw them walking up to the park or the post office.” However, they kept to themselves.
“It’s terrible. This is simply too close to home.”
Dawn Gardon, 60, who lives nearby, observed the mother walking her children to and from school and remarked that they “seemed like a nice family.”
“It is so tragic,” she continued.

The investigation is being led by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, but detectives are not actively seeking anyone else about the investigation, the force confirmed.
Detective Inspector Ollie Stride stated, “This is a very tragic case, and we are still investigating the events that led to this tragedy.
“I’d like to thank the local community for cooperating with our officers as they conduct their investigations.
“Today, our thoughts are with the family as they struggle to accept their loss, and we ask that their privacy be respected during this extremely difficult time.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson stated, “We were notified of an incident on Mayfield Road in Belvedere on March 9 at 12:16 p.m.
“We dispatched an ambulance and two incident response officers to the scene.
Three unfortunate deaths were confirmed at the scene.
