EX-CS Moses Kuria Denies Appointment as Ukraine Ambassador
Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria rejected claims on Wednesday that he had been appointed as Kenyaโs Ambassador to Ukraine.
In a post on X, Kuria accused certain media outlets of spreading unverified rumors about his new government role.
He asserted that the rumors regarding his appointment as Ukraineโs Ambassador were unfounded and urged Kenyans to disregard such false information.
Kuria emphasized that accurate information about any new appointments would only be communicated through his official social media profiles.
โI want to make it clear that any valid details about new appointments will be announced through my official Facebook page and verified X account,โ the former CS said.
The questionable post alleged that former CSs Moses Kuria, Aisha Jumwa, and Ababu Namwamba had been appointed as ambassadors to Ukraine, Switzerland, and Chad, respectively.

These individuals are among the many former ministers who did not return to President William Rutoโs revamped cabinet.
Kuria’s denial follows his critical comments regarding the Presidentโs recent cabinet nominations.
During a recent speech in Makueni, Kuria criticized the President’s new cabinet, particularly questioning the competence of nominees from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
Despite the significant accomplishments during his cabinet tenure, Kuria noted that his position faced various difficulties.
He expressed skepticism about the new nominees’ ability to address pressing issues within President Rutoโs administration.
Kuria specifically highlighted the ongoing issues with the hustler fund, pointing out that over 12 million people took loans but failed to repay, and questioned why Oparanya was chosen to tackle this problem.
He also mentioned problems in the coffee sector, where cooperatives have not paid farmers, and expressed doubt about the new appointeesโ ability to resolve these challenges.
