During the most recent EPRA review, which occurred between April 14 and May 14, the prices of super petrol, diesel, and kerosene did not change.

EPRA cited the move as a result of the petroleum products being subsidized to protect Kenyans from rising prices.

EPRA announced in a statement that the maximum pump price of Super Petrol, diesel, and kerosene remained unchanged during the period under review.
As a result, motorists in Nairobi paid Ksh179.30 per liter for super petrol, Ksh162.00 per liter for diesel, and Ksh145.94 per liter for kerosene.

Kenya received petroleum products as part of a new agreement with a Saudi Arabian company and a Dubai-based company to supply oil to the country for six months.

As a means of relieving pressure on the dollar’s supply, the government purchased oil at the same credit price and paid in Kenyan shillings.

The first shipment of fuel worth Ksh20 billion under the new agreement arrived in the country in April 2023, with the most recent shipment arriving on May 11, 2023.

Kenya Ports Authority noted that the tankers Nan Lin Wan and Proteus Jessica arrived at the New Kipevu Oil Terminal carrying 100,000 metric tons of diesel and 85,979 metric tons of gasoline, respectively.
