Elon Musk Eyeing Liverpool Purchase? Father Says It’s a Possibility
Elon Musk’s father has revealed that the billionaire entrepreneur is interested in purchasing the English football club Liverpool.
Currently, the Premier League team is owned privately by Fenway Sports Group, which has not signaled any intention to sell, although it has welcomed external investments previously.
In an interview with Times Radio, Errol Musk confirmed that his son, the CEO of Tesla, has indeed expressed interest in the club, which has won the European Cup six times.
โOh yes, but that doesn’t mean he’s buying it,โ Errol Musk said. โHe would like to, yes, obviously, anybody would want to. So would I.โ
He also said: โI canโt comment on that. Theyโll raise the price.โ
When contacted by The Associated Press, a spokesperson for FSG said there was โNo truth to these rumors.โ

In September 2023 FSG sold a minority stake to U.S. investment firm Dynasty Equity.
At that time, FSG president Mike Gordon said: “Our long-term commitment to Liverpool remains as strong as ever. We have always said that if there is an investment partner that is right for Liverpool then we would pursue the opportunity to help ensure the clubโs long-term financial resiliency and future growth.โ
Elon Musk has recently engaged in British politics following the election of the center-left Labour Party in July. He has taken to his social media platform, X, to advocate for a new election.
On Monday, Starmer criticized the โlies and misinformationโ that he claims are threatening British democracy, reacting to a wave of attacks on his government from Musk.
