A multi-agency team raided a five-acre forest in Ndeiya where the suspects allegedly slaughtered animals in unhygienic conditions before selling the meat to nearby meat outlets.
The police believe that more than 100 donkeys are killed each night in the forest.
They added that the suspects had prepared the recovered donkey skins for export.
Officers of public health in Kiambu are currently awaiting a court order to dispose of the recovered meat and donkey carcasses discovered at the crime scene.
